The beard gives a man a lot of expression and is therefore an important and noticeable part of the male face. However, the genetics and origin determine which color, shape and texture a beard has.
In some cases it can also happen that beard hairs fall out and the beard becomes lighter as a result. This is also genetic and cannot be prevented.

Procedure of the beard transplantation
First, the procedure for the beard transplant is discussed with the patient and the shape is determined and drawn in.
The hair on the back of the head is trimmed to about three mm and this region is then numbed locally so that the grafts (hair roots with one to three hairs) can be removed there for the transplant. The FUE method (Follicular Unit Extraction) is used for this. This means that a micromotor is used to obtain the grafts, i.e. a hollow needle that is supported by an electronic motor. The grafts are sorted according to the number of hairs so that they can then be transplanted according to a specific pattern so that the end result looks as natural as possible.
After a short break for the patient, the beard area is numbed.
The correct approach to the next step is very important and determines the success and the appearance of the end result. It is therefore very important that this step is only undertaken by a specialist with years of experience.
Small incisions are made with an extraction needle and the channels are set in which the grafts are then inserted one by one.
Like every procedure, beard transplantation also involves certain risks; these mostly result from the inadequate qualification of the medical staff.
However, these are very low. At this point, infections, feelings of tension, numbness and swelling should be mentioned – side effects that subside after a few days.
